The Role

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join our busy, multi-site engineering department.

To enable us to continue meeting high industry demands and in order to maintain and exceed the highest levels of quality and customer service expected, we are keen to hear from suitably skilled and experienced engineering professionals who may be interested in joining our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month on month improvements in PPM schedule
  • To focus on internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Maximum equipment uptime and availability
  • Improvement suggestions regularly reviewed, analysed and implemented where appropriate
  • Maintain and record spares usage and request replenishment in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all work is correctly logged and signed off when completed on agility
  • Ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard
  • Team skills fully developed to allow cross functional working, ensuring continuous cover
  • Promote a positive safety culture

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
  • Capable of quickly identifying and efficiently resolving mechanical and/or electrical faults
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and use own initiative
  • Troubleshooting electrical control panels, changing out relays and contactors

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Capable of working on invertors, PLC system

The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Despatch Operative to join our busy warehousing operations.

Applications are invited from suitably experience individuals, capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic warehouse environment. The Despatch Operative will ensure all warehousing operational tasks are completed and delivered in an accurate, efficient, timely and safe manner, providing internal and external customers with a consistent first class service. Utilising PPT for the loading of haulier vehicles, and transferring produce to various warehouse locations across the sites.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, duties and responsibilities will include but not be restricted:

  • Ensuring all orders are selected accurately, timely and stacked securely prior to loading on to haulier vehicles
  • To be trained across all operating warehouse areas across Sefter and Leythorne sites
  • Adherence to all trained SOPs and Risk Assessments
  • Focus on internal and external customer satisfaction with zero errors
  • To operate clean as you go principles whilst carrying out duties
  • To maintain high standards of Health and Safety in all operating areas
  • Hazards and accidents reported to the manager in a timely manner
  • To demonstrate behaviour that shows clear understanding of Barfoots Vision, Values and organisational objectives

Required Skills and Experience

  • Able to communicate effectively using basic verbal English
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully working in a targeted environment and motivating self to meet targets
  • Experience of working in a FMCG / Fresh food environment
  • CIEH Manual Handling Level 2
  • CIEH Food Safety Level 2
  • To be flexible and willing to work across all Barfoots sites.

The Role

Applications are invited from suitably experienced individuals, capable of working in a dynamic, fast paced environment. With a meticulous eye for detail and with a methodical and structured approach, you will be responsible for inventory and order management, sourcing and procuring a portfolio of products to the business in order to create enhanced value in the finished product.

As a great communicator with good literacy and numeracy skills, you will have a strong sense of commercial awareness along with excellent administration and analytical skills. Typical duties and responsibilities will include liaising daily with production planning, attending production meetings, reporting on raw material issues and working with sales in relation to new product launch, planning and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an uninterrupted flow of materials
  • Effective inventory management – maintaining the optimum stock position through supplier orders that take into consideration variables such as demand forecast, yields and unexpected changes in supply
  • Source and purchase products at the lowest ultimate price
  • Accurate data entry and data management including invoice processing
  • Minimise inventory investment and loss
  • Ensure suppliers are working with accurate information and forecasts
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
  • Filing and controlling delivery documentation
  • Engage in the product development process from the initial brief through to product submissions.
  • Support the processing range reviews to ensure Supply Chain are informed of any key changes
  • Ensure waste targets and customer standards are adhered to at all times by monitoring production

The Role

You will be required to follow set procedures and work at a fast pace, so good communication skills are essential in order to work within the team

Previous experience of Food production or FMCG/manufacturing environment would be an advantage.

The Role

The project management role will lead the management of the internal project team in parallel with the project manager from our chosen implementation partner.  The role will be supported by a Senior level steering committee and a business analyst team of Barfoots staff experienced in the business and ERP systems.

Phase one will be an 18 – 24 month implementation project running from the analysis and design phases through to post implementation management and review.  The modules being implemented in Phase one will be, “Finance & Operations” along with “Talent”.

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience of implementing ERP software solutions
  • A strong understanding of ERP software implementation project life cycles and methodologies
  • A demonstrable track record of successfully delivering large scale projects, to time and budget
  • Ability to drive project members and work packages to maintain time frames
  • Ability to maintain project goal alignment within a dynamic working environment
  • Ability to identify opportunities for flex within the project scope or goals to optimise the final solution

Job Summary
