Barfoots Gender Pay Gap Progress
Five years of driving fairness forward at Barfoots
At Barfoots, we are committed to building a workplace where fairness, opportunity, and inclusion are part of everyday working life. Our gender pay gap reporting over the past five years highlights not only where we are today, but the meaningful progress we’ve made as a business.
Our 2025 – 2026 Gender Pay Gap report can be found here.
Achieving pay equality
One of the most significant milestones in our journey is the achievement of median gender pay parity.
- Over the past three years, this has remained consistent, with women earning £1 for every £1 earned by their male colleagues. This consistency demonstrates a strong and sustained commitment to fair pay across the organisation.
Increasing representation at senior levels
We have also seen steady improvement in the representation of women in higher-paid roles:
- Increased from 32.6% to 39.0% in the highest pay quartile over five years
At the same time, the proportion of women in the lowest pay quartile has reduced overall, reflecting a gradual rebalancing of representation across the business. This shift highlights the positive impact of developing talent pipelines and supporting career progression.
Inclusive bonus participation
Barfoots has made strong progress in ensuring bonus opportunities are accessible across the workforce:
- Female bonus participation has risen significantly from 74.6% to 93.0%
- Consistently, there has been no median bonus pay gap between men and women
This reflects a fair and inclusive approach to reward and recognition.
Looking ahead
We are proud of the gender pay results, whilst remaining focused on building on this momentum. Our priorities include:
- Continuing to increase female representation in senior and specialist roles
- Supporting career progression through development opportunities
- Ensuring our workplace remains inclusive, fair, and transparent
Our commitment
Publishing our gender pay gap each year is an important part of how we hold ourselves accountable. It allows us to track progress, identify opportunities, and continue driving meaningful change across Barfoots.
