Having worked in a number of areas of the business, for many years he has ran our green energy operation, and more recently our water treatment plant. Incredibly humble, Alex plays down his learning of these new technologies “it’s just understanding the basics of nature”. It’s raining again in the UK, and it’s hard to imagine water as a scarce resource but that’s exactly what it is.Agricultural supply chains use 70% of global freshwater resources and the UN projections are that global demand for fresh water will exceed supply by 40% by 2030.We’re part of WRAP’s Water Roadmap to protect water through sustainable management. In the UK our initiatives include gathering and storing as much as we can, and converting all our factory waste water to irrigation through our water treatment plant.
