Barfoots shortlisted for The Grocer Gold Awards: ‘Waste Not Want Not’

Barfoots are extremely proud to have been shortlisted as a finalist at The Grocer Gold Awards, ‘Waste Not Want Not’ category for our ‘Project Rubble’.

Project Rubble is a prime example of our commitment to reducing food waste, providing it to those in need. Shards of delicious nutritious sweet potatoes and butternut are saved from the production line, bagged with donated packaging from our partner Saica Flex, and then dispatched to those who really need it via FareShare Sussex & Surrey and Felix.

A fantastic evening was had at The Royal Albert Hall, and whilst we were not the final winners on the night (congratulations Chalie Bigham’s and all the other finalists!), it was incredibly special to celebrate our achievement with our partners on this project.
