British Chillies

A few miles from our HQ, Barfoots Cropping is situated on the West Sussex coast, in a state of the art glass structure powered by green energy.

Established in 2015, we produce a wide range of chillies, from the mildest varieties to the very hottest, harvesting from March to November.  

 

Care and attention

Chillies require a great deal of care and attention, the plants are nurtured from just 20 cm high, to vines that are 4 meters high which we harvest throughout the entire season.

Our chilli aficionado is Warren Denbury, who has headed up our chilli growing operation for a number of years. Warren is incredibly passionate about all aspects of the chillies…and even talks to the plants to help them grow!

Working with nature

Using the latest weather modelling software, biologicals and nature positive practices such as natural predators and internal bee colonies, we provide the best conditions for our chillies to thrive.
